Dr. Sasaki heads the Keio University Institute of Oriental Classics (Shidō Bunko), a collection of 170,000 rare books and research materials on Japan and Asia. A leading researcher of book history, in 2016 he published Nihon koten shoshigakuron, a monograph on Japanese bibliography studies. As a developer of pedagogy on rare books, he has created multiple online courses via FutureLearn, including Japanese Culture Through Rare Books, Sino-Japanese Interactions Through Rare Books, and The Art of Washi Paper in Japanese Rare Books offered.
Dr. Adheesh Sathaye is an associate professor specializing in early medieval Sanskrit drama, aesthetics, and narrative literature.
Dr. Dagmar Schwerk is a Khyentse Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Tibetan Buddhist Studies and Steering Committee Member of the UBC Himalaya Program researching Tibetan Buddhism with a focus on the intellectual, political, and social history of Bhutan.
Dr. Hasan Siddiqui is a postdoctoral fellow in Asian Studies researching the social and cultural history of early modern South Asia and the Mughal empire.
