Please join the Center for Japanese Research for their annual Shinnenkai New Years Party on January 25. This is a gathering to celebrate the new year and to say hello again to our community at UBC and beyond! If you are interested in Japan and curious about the research and activities being done at the centre, please feel welcome to join us for a night of networking, kimono, traditional taiko performance, odori dance, violin performance and food.
Consul General Maruyama and the Deputy Consul General from the Japanese consulate in Vancouver and executives members from the Canada Japan society will be joining the event, so don’t miss this wonderful networking opportunity for those interested in and working in diplomacy and Japanese-Canadian relations.
We will be serving refreshments as well as non-alcoholic drinks!
